A competitive KESS 2 studentship is available to an excellent student to fund an Research Masters degree in Engineering. The studentship provides a stipend of £11,937 with a fee waiver for BU tuition fees.

The Research Masters degree in Engineering uses a multi-disciplinary, research-based approach to teach postgraduate researchers the skills needed to pursue a research career in academia, industry or research institutes. The research project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the schools Computer Science and Electronic Engineering and industry partner Creo Medical.

The research is a mix of computer modelling and computer simulations and practical research in the design and development of a concept medical device that harness pulsed electric fields or nanosecond electroporation energy. This bases of this work is electromagnetic theory.

Applicants are expected to hold a BSc degree equivalent to a UK 2.2 in a relevant subject (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics).
