Mae ymchwil Michael yn canolbwyntio ar drosi ynni hydrokinetig ac mae&#8217;r erthygl yn disgrifio&#8217;r iteriad cyntaf o ddull sy&#8217;n datblygu ar gyfer asesu potensial yr adnodd hwn yn afonydd y byd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mae trosi ynni hydrokinetig, yn hytrach na ynni d\u0175r confensiynol, yn broses o gynhyrchu trydan gyda\u00a0 tyrbinau mewnlif sy&#8217;n defnyddio egni cinetig d\u0175r sy&#8217;n llifo, e.e. mewn afon. Rwy&#8217;n ddiolchgar am y gefnogaeth y mae KESS 2 wedi&#8217;i darparu, yn ariannol ac o ran datblygiad proffesiynol, sydd wedi caniat\u00e1u imi gyrraedd y pwynt hwn yn fy ymchwil hyd yma.<\/p>\n<p>Mae&#8217;r cyfleoedd ar gyfer datblygu&#8217;r sgiliau angenrheidiol i gyflawni&#8217;r prosiect hwn wedi fy ngwthio i ddatblygu&#8217;n sylweddol fel gwyddonydd. Mae gweithio mewn partneriaeth \u00e2 fy nghwmni noddi, Repetitive Energy Company, wedi rhoi mewnwelediadau gwerthfawr i&#8217;r diwydiant ifanc sy&#8217;n datblygu o amgylch y dechnoleg ynni adnewyddadwy anaeddfed hon. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ychwanegodd yr Athro Simon Neill, prif oruchwyliwr y prosiect,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae\u2019r astudiaeth hon yn rhoi nifer, am y tro cyntaf, ar faint yr adnodd hydrokinetig afonol byd-eang, gan ddangos bod ganddo botensial enfawr i drosi ynni &#8211; mwy na dwywaith y galw byd-eang am drydan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dywed Frank Moloney, o&#8217;r partner cwmni Repetitive Energy,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae sefydlu persbectif byd-eang o\u2019r potensial ar gyfer trosi ynni hydrokinetig yn cefnogi ein nod i ddarparu datrysiad arloesol a all helpu i gefnogi ymdrechion i ddileu problem tlodi ynni, yn enwedig i gymunedau ynysig sydd heb fynediad at drydan ar hyn o bryd.<\/p>\n<p>Mae ein tyrbin echelin fertigol Smartstream yn cynnig datrysiad cost-effeithiol iawn i drosi ynni hydrokinetig ac rydym wrthi&#8217;n chwilio am bartneriaid masnachol i&#8217;n helpu i uwchraddio&#8217;r dechnoleg a dod \u00e2 Smartstream i&#8217;r farchnad.
