On Friday 14th September a Welsh Government delegation joined KESS 2 participants at Bangor University for a project showcase event hosted at The Management Centre in Bangor. The KESS 2 programme was chosen as a prime example to highlight the benefits of European Social Funds (ESF) and delegates were treated to an exhibition of a variety of research projects.
The morning’s event was an opportunity for delegates to see the broad range of collaborative research funded by ESF and gave exhibiting participants a chance to talk to Welsh Government members about their projects. It also presented an ideal space for cross-disciplinary discussion between the attending participants, academics and company partners.
Julie Morgan AM said, “I think it’s been tremendously stimulating, I’ve really enjoyed it. The enthusiasm for such a wide range of projects is absolutely inspiring and I’m so pleased that we’ve been able to see what you’re able to do with the money that’s been given for the PhD’s – it’s really interesting research, I can’t believe the range of things that we’ve seen today.”

KESS 2 would like to extend their thanks to all the delegates who took the time to visit the showcase; Julie Morgan AM, Lowri Owain, Rachel Lewis-Davies, Charlotte Priddy, Rhian Jardine, Ceri Jones, Dai Davies, Sioned Evans and Aled Wright/Cath Cleaton.
